The voting deadline is now over, the votes have been tallied, and the viewers of this site have chosen their winners! We had over 180 entrants to this contest and had a lot of fun looking at all the great submissions to our site! Now, the time to unveil the winners is upon us.

This killcam, titled “My Ass is Burning!” did not place in the top 3 for total vote count, but is an honorable mention because it made me (Potemkin Buster) laugh for 3 straight minutes after looking at it for the first time.

As an honorable mention, the submitter lol_401 is receiving $5 USD worth of items in the Mann Co. Store! Congratulations, lol_401!

In third place is “Sunburned!” submitted by The Pride of Assassins! They will be receiving $5 USD worth of items from the Mann Co. Store! Congratulations, The Pride of Assassins!

    Agreed with other posters…First got the vote I can only see because of the juxtaposition of the medics head somewhat near with the demomans groin which is well, kinda lame…If it belonged anywhere on this page itd be in the honorable mentions with the pyro one. I’d be laughing all the way to the mann co store if I was Zunt. Two is the deserving winner from this selection IMO.

    The first one is great. Everybody here who says they don’t “get it” what’s to get/not get? Sometimes a cool, weird shot is just a cool, weird shot.

    My guess is we have some people here who entered the contest, feeling a bit like that Pyro in the first shot that they got snubbed.

      At a guess, people are annoyed because the second place one is a genuinely kooky picture of a corpse post kill whereas first place is the typical cower poses that happen to look like the doc is giving the demo head (and nary a body flying through the air with comical physics to be seen).

      I kinda thought that was the point of a killcam contest, funny corpse shots/positions etc.

    I don’t follow a lot of links from my RSS feed, but Valve, I trust you. Until now.

    You found a contest focused on a bad dick joke, and felt like that needed to be linked from THE TF2 blog?

    I won’t be coming back here. Too bad. The other entries were actually funny/entertaining.

      We toyed with two ideas for judging; either we are the sole judges and choose the winner ourselves or we allow the community to control the outcome.

      We felt the latter option would make the contest more of a community event and would get people more involved/interested.

      We made topics on the Steam Forums encouraging everyone to vote, as well as, contacting Valve to advertise the contest in an effort to alleviate a vote spam situation. We monitored all of the high rating entries for signs of vote boosting. This was the outcome. If you feel that the contest was unfair, please let us know what we could do to improve future events.
